The largest distribution of companies in Peru is in the capital, Lima, with a total of 3 companies from the 500 S&P companies.

The average income from the above distribution is $ 420.12 million USD.

The mining company Buenaventura SAA owns approximately 62% of the revenues from the Materials business in Peru since 2016 to 2019.

It can be seen that the general revenues of companies in Chile are higher than those of Peru, including operating and net costs.

From this analysis, we find that the performance of a typical company in these profit margins is declining for the Materials industry in both Peru and Chile, indicating a more difficult situation to make profits.

We note that Chile has the highest levels of average days of inventory, sales volume, and return on assets than Peru.

The graph shows that Chilean companies are doing better than their Peruvian competitors in the current ratio and the ratio of liabilities assets.

We can see that the Banking category in Peru has higher profitability, compared to the Materials and Energy categories in 2019. Grossly, Finance is the one that leads the income by much, both in total income and on average. Likewise, it can be seen that Energy has a higher operating margin than Materials, however, it has a lower amount of total income than Materials. The Finance area has no operating margin. Finally, it can be observed that despite having a similar average income, the Energy area has a greater probability of covering expenses in any case than the Materials area. The level of survival of the Energy item is even comparable with the Finance item, which is economically superior.

According to the graph, the Materials area is at a very low level of economic growth in 2019, compared to the Energy and Finance areas. The one with the highest economic growth in income would be the Energy category, due to the technology of recent years. Finally, the Buenaventura company may be stagnant in the following years due to its economic decline in the last year.

Finally, according to the graph, the Energy category in Peru has better inventory management, better labor productivity and a better average number of days payable than the Materials category. However, both are found to be economically efficient in terms of overall industry costs and revenues.
