  • My Dream Job is to work for as a Project Manager for a health care company. After talking with BD and hearing from other professors that have worked there, I decided I wanted that Health Care company to BD. Our first Assignment (Job Opportunity Analysis), confirmed that if I wanted to stay in New Jersey, Health Care and BD is the field that I should work in. The health Care Industry and Beckitt Dickinson is projected to stay in demand well into the future for NJ. 

  • However, I am going to be comparing and analyzing multiple different well known health care companies including BD so that I have options that are not limited to NJ. UHG was the first company to strike my interest in health care after I interned with them for 5 weeks in 2019.

INDUSTRY TREND ANALYSIS FINDINGS SUMMARY 

• The HealthCare Industry has been doing better than industrials regardless of the state of the economy (for example: The Pandemic) 

• United Health Group has been doing better regarding Net Income and Total Revenue compared to other HealthCare Companies 

• But Johnson & Johnson is doing better in terms of operating income

COMPETITION POSITION ANALYSIS FINDINGS SUMMARY

• JNJ did better compared to the other companies for the Profit Vs Cost Analysis (Along with Pfizer) as well as the Profit Vs Total Asset Analysis. JnJ was also a rummer up for the Enterprise Ranking based on Net Income. 
• Pfizer did better compared to the other companies for the Profit Vs Cost Analysis (Along with JNJ) and for the Enterprise Ranking based off Net Income.
• Moderna did the best compared to the other companies for the Return on Asset & Liability Asset Ratio, Total Revenue Growth Rate Enterprise Ranking Graph, and on both the Enterprise Comparison graphs that were based on the Return on Investment and Profitability 

• JNJ has made its name and presence for decades and its known for its presence in various different sectors. Pfizer also has been making its name and becoming more famous. However, based on the analysis and the graphs, it seems like Moderna has a chance of growing and having great potential.

• Value driver analysis

  • Net Income & Net Income Growth Rate: did not plot Moderna but graphed pfizer as the best

  • Total Revenue Growth Rate & Total Cost graphed Moderna as the best (with the least amount of cost and greatest revenue growth potential) 

• Enterprise Breakdown 

  • Assets: Moderna had the highest current asset while BD had the lowest 
  • Revenue: Moderna has the highest Net Income and the lowest Cost of Goods Sold while United Health Group has the lowest Net Income and the highest COst of Goods Sold 

SUMMARY 

• Although, the conclusion I made on the first project helped me decide BD was the best company for me to consider working for, this assignment has allowed me to look at the health care sector from a broader point than just New Jersey

• This assignment has made me consider other various factors such as their costs, total assets, growth rate, driver analysis, etc. that has allowed me to see a different perspective. 

• Based on my findings, I have added Moderna and Pfizer to my list of companies that I want to work for but they are currently valued and weighed higher than BD
