Introduction to the analysis

I have selected the country of Singapore for analysis.
The analysis is done for the year 2018, as data for 2021 is not complete and the data from 2020, 2019 are COVID impacted data.
I have not considered Financials, IT, Telecom, Real Estate sectors because these I don't have the necessary qualifications for them.

Regional analysis - Number of enterprises

The companies in Singapore are concentrated in Central Singapore. The country is small in area and the central area being the business hub can be a reason for this concentration.

Central district has the highest revenue just because of presence of majority of the companies in the area.

Revenue growth is highest in the North East region. But further data is required to arrive at a conclusion from this data.

Summary of Regional analysis

Majority of the companies are situated in the Central Singapore district.
The growth rate is not very high in most of the regions - which can signify that Singapore is a mature economy and is not growing very fast.
Regional wise there is not much observable difference party due to lack of data and the size of the country.

Industry products have the highest revenue in Singapore followed by materials sector.

Of the rest, Energy has the highest revenue. Healthcare is a high cost business in Singapore and it has one of the lowest sector wise revenue.

Capital goods has the hgihest performer. But when we consider the overall data. There are few outliers in all these sectors. but they are all similar. Commercial and professional services has the a lower cost slope compared to others, this is understandable as services industry do not have a lot of investment.

There is a significant variation in values from 90th to 7th Percentile. This shows average performance in general with the exceptions of few extreme outliers.

Here Machinery and Materials have a higher cost compared to their income. Commercial services perform better in terms of cost efficiency.

Industrials have the best profitablity. Utilities data is not accurate representation as it has only one company.

Industrials have the best revenues and profitablity. In terms of cost efficiency, industry services sub field do well. In terms of overall performance, capital machinery sub field does really well.
Healthcare is very cost intensive in Singapore and this reflects in the profitablity analysis.
Commercial industrial services , heavy machinery and electrical components are the best fields to start in.

China Yuchai, BOC Aviation, OM Holdings top the table with the highest revenues.
The best companies are in Industrial machinery sub field or aviation.
Some professional services companies are makign losses. Environmental services seems to be doing better.
Most of the top companies involve manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Final Summary

The best location is Central Singapore. ( Singapore being a small country, there is not much of distribution the firms )
Best industry to get into are, Industrial machinery, commercial industrial services & electrical components.
China Yuchai, BOC Aviation are the top firms to aim for.
